WE ARE SHAMWARI YEMWANASIKANA
Shamwari Yemwanasikana (SYS) is a community-based organization that seeks to promote, protect and advance the rights and empowerment of the girl child in the home, school, and community, at the national level and beyond.
HISTORY
The organization was established in 2014, and is registered as a private voluntary organization (PVO32/18). The passion that SYS is the desire to see girls fully enjoying their rights and privileges in safe spaces, and serve them across their diversity, and therefore our programs are leaving no one behind in girl child development.
VISION
A world where girls and young women lead their own development with productive lives.
MISSION
To empower girls and young women to be active agents of their own development through igniting the power within to reach their full potential.
