Our Causes
What We Do
WHAT WE DO
Our long-term goal seeks
To redress social, economic and political challenges encountered by the girl child given that the impact not only affect her individual life as these impacts infringe on national development. Our primary target is Girls aged 0 – 18 years (mostly when responding to cases of abuse, in child rights education and empowerment); adolescent girls aged 10-24 (for sexual reproductive health rights and empowerment).
Our Cause (4 Strategic Pillars)
We have vast experience in programming targeting adolescent girls and young women, structured around 4 pillars;
CHILD PROTECTION
This pillar is centered on establishing and supporting psycho-social support systems for victims of abuse. We aim to enhance wellness spaces for provision of direct services (legal, counselling, medical) to girls and young women survivors of all abuse.
LEADERSHIP
The strategic objective is to empower girls and nurture them to take up leadership in civic spaces, by equipping them with the soft skills and knowledge that capacitate them to lead in spheres of life.
SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOODS
Our aim is to support and promote sustainable development programs in communities that we work in so as to alleviate poverty. We aim to have resilient and empowered girls and young people with improved livelihoods; entrepreneurship and employability skills and options.
SEXUAL REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH RIGHTS
We mobilize and amplify the voices of girls and young women on sexual reproductive health issues so that the unmet needs that they have around information, as well as services, are addressed by the powers that be.
