Shamwari Yemwanasikana is a movement of girls, communities, mentors, activists, volunteers, partners and changemakers working together to create opportunities for girls and young women.

Volunteering with SYS is an opportunity to contribute your time, skills and experience to initiatives that support girls, young women and communities across Zimbabwe.

Support community-based activities, campaigns, events and outreach initiatives.

Contribute professional or technical skills that can support SYS programmes and organisational activities.

Support initiatives that strengthen leadership, confidence, learning and participation among girls and young women.

How to Volunteer

1. Express Your Interest
Complete the volunteer interest form and tell us a little about yourself.

2. Tell Us How You Can Contribute
Share your interests, experience, skills and availability.

3. Application Review
The SYS team will review your submission and identify suitable opportunities based on current programme needs.

4. Conversation & Placement
Where a suitable opportunity is available, the team will contact you to discuss the role and expectations.

5. Orientation & Onboarding
Selected volunteers will receive the relevant orientation and guidance before participating in SYS activities.
